WHATUP?!?!?!

hunderd years after my last post, I am finally deciding it is time for me to update

seeing as my last post was in january and I can't remember things that happened around then, I will tell you about my summer....

June 10th: I quit my job at the Janesville "Oasis Family Restaurant"..and here's the story....so...one day I went into work and AFTER my dad dropped me off and drove away, my boss told me that they "didn't need me" because it "wasn't that busy" well...I looked around and there were at least 3 tables not cleared off and 2 that were cleared but not wiped...and there were also about 6 tables full of people (which is pretty good for a friday night)...so the next day I went in and I asked him if it was time for me to get a job, because it was pretty obvious that I wasn't wanted there....lo and behold, my boss said that that's what he was trying to get me to do...(ouch)...of course, out of curiousity I asked "WHY?"...he said.."Anna, I honestly can say that you are the best worker that we have here, but for some reason, Frankie (the owner) doesn't like you, and he wants you gone."OOOOUUUUUUCCCCCHHHHH, dude...OUCH!! Sooo...the next day I put in my two weeks notice and that was that.

June 19th-30th: Our church youth group went on a missions trip to Quebec, Canada....and I will describe that in 4 words....interesting, fun, tense, and long. I don't really remember much of it but we did have an AWESOME time...for the most part.

Some sunday in July: Pastor Stevens proclaimed to the church that he is resigning and he and his family are moving to watertown....SAD...

July 18th-21st: I counseled at Camp Jubilee....the CUTEST KIDS OF ALL TIME were in my tent....and I had the privilege of leading one of them to the Lord which was really sweet. :)

July 22nd: I'm chillin at church for a church work day when my mom calls me and tells me that Mr. Steuerwald (my principal/teacher/volleyball coach) called and asked if I would like to go to volleyball camp the following monday (the 24th) through saturday (the 29th). sweet. My response: I cried because I was soo excited.

July 23rd: I get online to register for camp and I realize that there are no openings for me in volleyball camp..so I call Mr. Steuerwald and tell him the situation and he told me to just sign up for one of the other camps that was going on that week, and he would do every thing that he could to get me in to volleyball. I signed up for Basketball...dumb move...I should've just signed up for Fine Arts so I could get some voice lessons.

July 24th-29th: Camp. I get there and Mr. Steuerwald asks if there is any way I could get into Volleyball and they said "no, there is no way, we are completely full" DANG. I was mad. So, I ended up in Basketball Camp...and I hated it. Tuesday came around, and these two college volleyball players came into the gym while we were playing basketball and they asked the coach to step outside for a minute. After about FIVE minutes, the coach came back in, tapped me on the shoulder and said "are you ready to play some intense volleyball?" and I was like.."yea, dude I gettin outta here, see ya" haha...ok, so I really didn't say that...but, kinda. Anyway...Volleyball Camp was AWESOME! I learned some new things, and met some new people, haha...oh. umm...Tuesday night...interesting....there was a tornado warning, so everyone went into the basement of the fine arts building, and the excalibur team (an improv group from maranatha) was there and they started a skit show..I guess you could say. So for this one skit, they needed a couple of volunteers so I raised my hand and they picked me. I went up there and they asked me for my name, and I said "Phyllis" so...for the rest of the week everyone called me phyllis...and it was a beautiful thing. haha.

July 29th: I walk into the house after I get home from volleyball camp, and I ask dad if he had heard anything from any of the places that I applied at, which would include...Red Robin, Noodles & Company, Ponderosa, Shoe Dept., Orange Julius, Baskin Robbins/Dunkin Donuts, and umm...I forgot what the other place was...oops...but anyway...dad said that they got a call from Orange Julius. Sweet, so, I call OJ back and I basically had an interview over the phone, and Linda, the owner, said that she called Rich (my old boss from oasis), and he gave nothing but a good report about me, sweet. So, I got hired, Awesome.

July 31st-August 5th: Family Camp = Good Times...I seriously hope that Family Camp keeps going on after Pastor Stevens leaves. Anyway....I always love family camp, because like I said before, Family Camp = Good Times. I found out that I can spike a volleyball over the net while lying down on the ground. sweet. So, the last night of camp, Jim, Joel, Nate, Jesse, Amanda and I stayed up the WHOLE night and were pretty much wasted in the morning....not literally, but you know what I mean.

August 7th: Me, along with almost EVERYONE IN AMERICA started work on this day, which also happens to be Lo Lo's birthday, sweet. Let's see here....Justin F. started working at the Staples warehouse, Kristin started working at dad's office, Chris H. started a new paramedic job, Kevin B. started somewhere, some guy named Cody started at Papa Murphy's, AND lost but not least, I, Anna Heesen, started at Orange Julius. Sweet. I love my job, just letting you know.

So....school's starting soon...and uhh...yea. That's all I have to say about that except for the fact that Nate is coming to utica. sweet. that means I won't lose the WHOLE Stevens family.
