Snow Day...YESSSSS

You know what...I haven't updated in a while, so I think it's time.

Ya'll ready for this?

GOOD.

The other day, Mr. Reid (My English/Lit teacher who is directing this years Christmas play) said that we would be having a play practice on Wednesday morning (today) IF we have school. We were all like.."*gasp* why wouldn't we have school on Wednesday???" and he said "big snowstorm coming up!!" I was like..."whoot whoot." Ok, no, not really...but I was excited.

So today, I woke up and looked outside. It was obvious there had been a snowstorm. I grabbed my blanket and chilled in the living room for a while and watched the news, hoping that I would see "Utica Christian School, closed" at the bottom of the screen. It was no use. I watched the TV from approx. 6:00 am to 7:00 am, but I still did not see my school's name. Oh!! ROCK COUNTY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL IS CLOSED, BUT NOOOO SIRREEEE...NOT UTICA. I was disturbed. Snow wasn't even all that bad in Janesville, but I was watching the news and it said it was severe in the Madison area, which is where Utica is. RAR. I finally decided it was time for me to get ready for school, seeing as I had to meet Leah at about 7:15 to go to school.

After slipping and sliding, Leah and I finally meet at the gas station on HWY. 51 just offa the interstate (which is where we meet every morning before school). We get on the interstate and we see at least 4 cars in the ditch and that was just between the Southern end of Janesville and the Northern end of Janesville. We still had about 15 miles left to go. Leah said "Anna, I can't believe we're going to school today! This is crazy!" I agreed. Then I decided I would call Mrs. Fiedler (who is a teachers aid at Rock County Christian School) and chew her out for having a snow day instead of me. Both her and her daughter Abby picked up the phone in different rooms, so we were talking 3 ways. When they picked up, I started rambling on about how mad I was that we had school and they didn't. After I was done rambling, Abby was like.."Anna! What are you talking about? I just saw your school's name on the TV. You have a snow day today! I thought you were calling to say 'LET'S GO SLEDDING!!'"

Evidentally, they didn't decide to close school until like 7:15 which is when Leah and I met. We called my Principal to see if we actually had a snow day, and he said yes. I called Abby back and said.."Let's go sledding!" We did.

Leah took me home so I could get my snow stuff, and then she took me down to Beloit to Abby's house so I could chill until we actually decided to go. When I got to Abby's house, I plopped down on their couch and slept for like 3 hours. It was a good time. I woke up at about 12 and we ate pizza. Then the arrangements for sledding were made. Leah told us that she didn't want to go (she's a loser), nate couldn't go because he had work (IDIOT), and josh couldn't go because he was "too busy" (riiiiiiiight). So..that left me, abby, becky, and rachel. Jesse told us that he didn't want to go because there were no guys going.

Before we left, Abby had this BRIGHT IDEA of bringing her big ole' air mattress to sled down on. We packed it in the car and then blew it up there. It actually worked for a while. Later on we realized that we forgot something, so we called Jesse to have him bring it to us. When he got there, he decided he would sled with us. We ended up getting all 5 of us on the big air mattress. We went down a few times and we realized that it was deflating. We found a big hole in it. Rar. We still had a few other sleds with us, so we used those for the rest of the time. Once we all got down the hill for the last time, we decided we were just gonna hang out down there for a while. We ended up staying down at the bottom of the hill for like 30 minutes. Jesse started a snowball fight, and it lasted for like 15 minutes. It was pretty sweet. Did you like that story? Good. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

I have ONE last thing to leave you with. Yesterday I found out that Target employees are no longer allowed to say "Merry Christmas" to the customers. THAT my friend is RIDICULOUS!!! I have decided that I WILL NOT spend my own money at target AT ALL this year. So that means...I want Target gift cards. That means I won't be spending my own money. :) Have a nice day.

Merry CHRISTmas!!

OH NO!!

I JUST SAID "MERRY CHRISTMAS!!"

AAAHHHH....THEY'RE GONNA TAKE ME AWAY!!

Haha, they can't...I don't work at Target! MUWAHAHAHAHAH!!! Target workers...PSH.

'Bout time you updated girlie. And I'm with Sas...laugh-out-loud-O-rama! I wanted a snow day...waaaaaa! Ah well...See ya.

Dude, having a home office precludes snowdays, but man I wanna go sledding again.

I laughed at the very end. For a long time. Actually I didn't laugh out loud, but I did laugh inside for a while. Pretty funny. The rest was enlightening/inspiring/whatever else you intended it to be.
